Position Overview:
An established dermatology practice is seeking a motivated Nurse Practitioner to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity for a provider interested in expanding their knowledge and skills in both general and cosmetic dermatology.
The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to patient care, excellent communication skills, and an interest in helping patients manage a variety of skin conditions. Spanish-speaking candidates are preferred but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients, obtain medical histories, and perform physical examinations.
- Assess, diagnose, and manage common dermatological conditions, including acne, eczema, psoriasis, and skin infections.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and prescribe medications as appropriate.
- Perform dermatological procedures, including biopsies, cryotherapy, excisions, and suturing, as permitted by training and practice protocols.
- Participate in cosmetic dermatology services, which may include chemical peels, laser treatments, and injectable therapies.
- Educate patients on skincare, treatment options, and preventive care.
- Provide post-treatment instructions and monitor patient progress.
- Collaborate with supervising dermatologists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and document evaluations, treatments, and follow-up visits in the electronic medical record system.
Qualifications:
- Current Nurse Practitioner license and applicable certification.
- Interest in general and cosmetic dermatology.
- Willingness to learn and participate in additional training.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Spanish-speaking ability is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Starting salary of $150,000–$180,000.
